Holmewood House, Tunbridge WellsHolmewood House, Tunbridge Wells

Decimus Burton, who created the archway at Hyde Park Corner also designed this classic stone-faced building as a house in 1827.

Originally a house on the outskirts of Tunbridge Wells. It stands in 31 acres of grounds and became a school in 1939.

The astronomer Sir Patrick Moore was once a member of its staff.

Homewood House was one of the first of my portfolio of school portraits.
