Arnold School, Blackpool
After almost a century as one of Blackpool’s foremost schools, in September 2012 it will amalgamate with King Edward VII and Queen Mary´s in nearby Lytham St Annes.
One of its more famous scholars was Bill Lyons, who, in 1922 formed Swallow Sidecars in Blackpool. Lyons’ company went on to become Jaguar Cars in Coventry.
